Arx Engineering is a structural engineering design firm specializing in commercial and residential construction.  The word “Arx” (pronounced “Arks”) is Latin for “fortress” or “stronghold.”  Our philosophy is to design each structure as if it were our own – as if we were going to be the ones both paying for its construction, and using the structure once complete.  This gives us the perfect balance: a value-engineered design that is cost-effective and a safe design that meets code standards – Designed To Succeed!

Ryan Briggs, PE is Arx Engineering’s principal and founder. Ryan holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from Brigham Young University and has been working as a structural engineer in Las Vegas since 2004.  He served as a member of the structural committee for the Southern Nevada Building Official’s 2006 and 2009 IBC code amendment/adoption process.  He has also enjoyed serving in the community in a variety of ways, such as volunteering at the hospital playing guitar to the children in the pediatric hematology/oncology unit, and more recently as a children’s soccer coach.  Click on Ryan’s LinkedIn profile below for more info.
